Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the new store opening of the Yorkshire Soap Company in Harrogate. I have long been a fan of this fabulous company and am delighted to see its amazing growth over recent years. As a previous resident of West Yorkshire I often visited Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area and loved browsing in the quirky shops. This is when I first encountered and fell in love with the Yorkshire Soap Company at their first ever shop in Hebden Bridge many years ago.
I am so delighted that the Yorkshire Soap Company is now local to me again, both in Knaresborough and now Harrogate. So I was very excited to be one of the first ones to view the new Harrogate store.
The Yorkshire Soap Company was started in 2004 by Marcus and Warren, who started making soaps for friends and family on their kitchen table. The rest is history. This dynamic duo now have stores in Leeds, York, Knaresborough, Hebden Bridge, Beverley, Halifax ( Piece Hall ) and now Harrogate.
Each store is carefully designed with every detail complimenting the products within the shop. Every time I walk into a Yorkshire Soap Company store, I feel like I have dropped into a magical world far away from all the stresses of the world. The bright colours and wonderful fragrances would soothe any worn out soul. These stores are colour therapy and aroma therapy at their very best and guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face.
The Harrogate store is located on James Street in central Harrogate, just opposite the entrance to Harrogate Railway Station. You won’t have any difficulty finding it, as it is THE cutest, prettiest shop in the street. Pink of course ! My favourite colour. Once inside the front door, you will be greeted by a vision of colour and gorgeousness ! ( Is that even a word ?) So pick up a basket and take your time browsing round all the wonderful products.
So what are the positives about shopping at the Yorkshire Soap Company ( apart from the fact it is a Yorkshire Company !) Here are just a few interesting facts about this unique company.
1 They never test on animals and they promise that they never will.
2 Their soap treats are all handmade in their dedicated kitchens in York.
3 They use only the finest ingredients.
4 Everything is beautifully presented and packaged, making ideal gifts or perhaps a treat for yourself.
5 Every product is luxurious but is genuinely affordable and suits all budgets.
6 Many of the products are suitable for sensitive skin.
7 The staff are all knowledgeable, friendly and the customer service is second to none.
8 Their online ordering system is excellent so if you can’t get to a shop, you can have your goodies posted to you.
Each store offers a wide range of products including hampers, bath bombs, soaps, hand creams, shower gels, foam baths and much more. If you would like a personal recommendation, then please try the Yorkshire Lass range of products. It is my absolute favourite fragrance of lily, rose and peony and is such a wonderful feminine aroma. There is also a Yorkshire Lad collection too, and I have it on good authority from my husband that it is ”pretty good’ !
I hope you have enjoyed my blog post today and it has given you an incentive to visit one of the Yorkshire Soap Company stores. Of course if you don’t live near a store, you can order online and still enjoy these wonderful products. https://yorkshiresoap.co.uk/
Please let me know in the comments below if you have visited one of the Yorkshire Soap Company stores. Did you like the layout / design of the shop ? What was your favourite purchase ?
Until next time dear friends
