Beauty Box Review October – LoveLula

I am a magpie for any beauty samples, as I love to try new things in a bid to get away from been stuck in a rut using the same old products. So when I saw this beauty box by LoveLula I couldn’t resist it.

LoveLula is a British company who only sell natural beauty products that have no nasty preservatives or chemicals in them. Many products on the market are known to have potential harmful ingredients in them, so it’s good to try these natural products as an alternative.

I signed up to the monthly box offer which is £12.95 a month although this can be cancelled at any time, so it’s a great way to try to see what you think without too much investment. Plus the value of the box is usually way more than the original price. In fact this box I am reviewing has a value of just over £40.

The products come via Royal Mail in the first two weeks of the month. Mine arrived on the 13th of October. The products come in a secure white box and are neatly packaged in environmentally friendly paper shavings.

My Review of the October Beauty Box

The first item was a nourishing cleansing cream by Barefoot SOS. It was a large size of 125ml and retails for £20 so this is a great addition to the box as I use cleansers all the time especially for taking make up off. The cleanser contains lots of amazing natural ingredients such as cocoa butter, rosewater and the rejuvenating Rosa Mosqueta Oil.

I really enjoy using this as it feels so soothing on my skin. It is suitable for all skin types but especially good for dry and mature skin, which is good news for me then as I have both !

The next item is my absolute must have product. A gorgeous lip balm by John Masters organics. I don’t know about you, but I cannot be without a lip balm. There is one in my bag, one in my dog walking coat and one by the bed. I hate the feeling of dry lips particularly in winter and I find my lipstick goes on much better when I have been regularly applying lip balm.

I always try buy natural lip balm as we consume so much lip products in our life time, that I would prefer to be consuming natural ingredients than chemicals.  This particular lip balm is just amazing ! It contains olive oil, jojoba oil, and citrus oils which gives it a slight citrus taste. More importantly it moisturises the lips so well. This retails at about £6 and I will definitely be buying it again. LOVE IT !

The next goodie in the box is a beautiful Aloe Vera handmade soap by PHB Ethical Beauty. This comes in a lovely box and contains aloe vera as its main ingredient which is so soothing to the skin. It also contains shea butter and coconut and olive oils which again is so good for the skin. I haven’t used this yet, but it looks and feels fabulous. Best of all the company that make these soaps is a family business and donate 15% of all their profits to charity.

My next product is a Flash Hydro Boost by Ren which comes in a small tube 10ml. This is a little extra boost for the skin which gives added hydration and is especially good for dry and mature skin. I have used Ren products before and I do like them so I am looking forward to trying this one.

The final product in the beauty box is another great love of mine, given that my more ‘mature’ skin needs all the help it can get ! This product is a pure tissue oil and is designed to target scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and dry skin. Given that I have all of the above, this oil is PERFECT for me.

It comes in a small ( 5ml) pump bottle and contains fabulous ingredients such as grapeseed oil, avocado oil, vitamin E and many others. After using this my skin feels so soft and hydrated. Haven’t seen my wrinkles disappear yet but I will keep trying and living in hope.

So, that’s my little beauty box review. Would I buy again from Lovelula ? Absolutely. I love natural beauty products and I really like the idea of getting a box with a selection of different products that I can try.

I was lucky that I love all the products in this months box so for me the cost of £12.95 was well worth it. Yes, you don’t know which products you will get each month but it’s definitely worth a try as you can cancel at any time.

Let me know what you think to my beauty review ? Have you tried any of the products listed ? Or have you tried LoveLula before ? I will post the link to LoveLula below.

Until next time dear friends

Susanna xx

Great post. I am on the lookout for a natural lip balm as the petroleum ones make my lips so dry. Thanks for the recommendation xx

The price sounds very reasonable and I love that a product by REN was included; I’m a little bit obsessed with anything subscription-box-related at the moment haha 🙂

Thanks Gabrielle. I have been using the Ren product for the last few days and it is SO nice. It really plumps up the skin. I love these boxes too. It feels like my birthday again when I receive them as I’m not sure what will be in them and its quite exciting. LoveLula is one of my favourites as they are all natural. xx

That box seems a winner. No waste which is brilliant. All useful products. I haven’t heard of them but I will definitely look for it when I need to stock up.

Yes Annemarie, I agree there is no waste. I like these boxes as it gives me chance to try new things. I like to stay in my comfort zone way too much instead of trying new things. Was really pleased with this box as I liked everything in it ! xxx
